The beauty industry has changed in the past few decades. In the 80's your hairstylist would "frost" your hair and then style it with Aquanet hairspray in one hand and a lit cigarette in the other. As funny as that was, that's not quite the experience most of us crave when going to a stylist to feel exceptional. I promise to deliver a whole "wellness" understanding when getting glamified with Nicole Marie's.
"Wellness" is hard to define but essential to beauty, health, fitness and our personal goals:
- 1)Process means that improvement is always possible
- 2)Aware means that we are continuously seeking more information about how we can improve.
- 3)Choices means that we consider a variety of options and select those in our best interest.
- 4)Success is determined by each individual to be their collection of life accomplishments.
To start off my whole "wellness" theme I'm personally going to start off by not going back to smoking cigarettes after my second daughter is born. Since it was easy to quit for 9 months. To truly appreciate all that is beautiful on the outside we should respect our inside as well. From a former smoker I understand the temptation that takes over and I'm making this my new years resolution and sticking with it! Where did this epiphany come from, did you ask...My dear friend and client for over 9 years, Angie, said something to me that struck a cord. "Now that you have your next daughter on the way, you surely will have to pass down your legacy." I laughed at the time because it seemed so far away.As time went on it sunk in! I realized that my legacy means nothing other than my values, traditions, morals, and of course the business. What "wellness" means to me is sacrifice, giving to others without expectations, staying healthy for myself and beautiful family, and being the best person I can be! What does it mean to you?
Along the way I have cried with my clients over broken hearts, and life's trials and tribulations. They have seen me go through all stages of life in my 20's. Well, now starting my 30's, I have never been so comfortable and sure about what I want in life. I've always been a giving person, I just had to find the right way to deliver it . I love to share my beauty tips, about wellness, fitness, health, skin care and pride myself in being the best source of bridal hair and bridal makeup knowledge. My passion of the beauty industry and the love I have to help people is what drives my success.
This blog is dedicated to my friend Angie who is and always has been there for me, she's been my cheerleader when I was feeling down, my advisor when I was feeling confused and my counselor when I needed someone to listen. Angie has been battling cancer for 5 years and when we weren't catching up, I was styling her many fashionable wigs, when she was going through chemotherapy. No matter what Angie was going through, she always had words of support and wisdom to share with me. Angie always believed in me and I want my girls to believe in me as well.
I'm a very lucky person, although I've had my ups and downs but this time of my life, things seem to just be falling together, I have a wonderful and supportive husband, the most selfless parents in the world, a beautiful daughter, and one on the way, wonderful friends and a business that is fulfilling!
See, this is not just bridal hair and makeup it's a whole experience and a “state of well being" With that said, Nicole Marie's is on the right path for a the best "wellness" type of beauty service you can ask for!
